Chopra Backs Bishnoi Ahead of India vs Zimbabwe T20Is

After a disappointing performance in the second Twenty20 International against England, Aakash Chopra believes Ravi Bishnoi will have a chance to redeem himself during India’s three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe.

Throughout his four-over performance, the leg-spinner bowled several no-balls and conceded 60 runs. India was unable to defend a 191-run mark as he allowed 29 runs in one of his overs.

Chopra suggests that Ravi Bishnoi should play and make an impression in the T20Is against the Chevrons, as the team lacks spin-bowling all-rounders like Washington Sundar and Axar Patel.

This could be a chance for Bishnoi to redeem himself after his previous performance for India, where he bowled no-balls and conceded 29 runs per over. India lost to England, and he received a lot of criticism for it. “So this could be a very important series for him,” he explained.

The former India opener noted that Harsh Dubey, a potential backup for Axar Patel, is receiving opportunities in this series because to Washi’s frequent injuries. So, if Axar Patel is not available at any moment, Harsh Dubey will be. “So you’re looking for more bowling options,” he remarked.

Chopra questioned whether Ashok and Mayank would play together for India, or whether they would be paired with Yash Thakur, who is as talented but lacks express pace.
