Yorkshire Women secure England star Em Arlott

Yorkshire Women have signed England all-rounder Em Arlott ahead of the domestic season in 2027. Starting November 1, the 28-year-old will start a three-year contract with the Headingley-based club after leaving Warwickshire Women.

The right-handed hitter has plenty of international experience. She has taken 15 wickets in ten appearances for England Women in various formats.

Since being granted professional status prior to the 2026 season, Em Arlott is Yorkshire’s second important English acquisition. Last year, White Rose County signed spinner Sarah Glenn from The Blaze to a two-year contract.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Yorkshire at such an important stage in their team’s growth. I have no doubt that women’s cricket has grown rapidly in the region, and I’m looking forward to experiencing the energy behind it.

When I spoke with Rich (Pyrah) and Gavin Hamilton, I could see their vision for where this squad is going, and the ability to play alongside cricketers like Lauren Winfield-Hill and Jess Jonnassen is a big draw. “These are game legends, and I am ready to help Yorkshire reach the pinnacle,” Em Arlott said on Yorkshire’s official website.

Em Arlott will be joining a talented group of athletes that includes Ami Campbell, Lauren Winfield-Hill, Jess Jonnassen, Sterre Kalis, and Glenn.

This season, the all-rounder has appeared in just eight games for Warwickshire. The 28-year-old had to withdraw from England’s One Day International (ODI) match against New Zealand earlier this season owing to concussion protocols.

She did, however, appear for the Bears against Yorkshire in the Women’s T20 Blast, taking two wickets in the second innings after scoring an unbeaten 15 in the first.

Yorkshire placed fifth in the 2026 Women’s T20 Blast, ahead of Warwickshire and Lancashire, in their inaugural season as a professional squad. However, they are one spot ahead of Essex and second from last in the current One Day Cup.
