Todd Murphy Eyes India A Tour to Make All-Format Case
Todd Murphy, a Victorian off-spinner, is aiming to utilise Australia A’s upcoming tour of India to strengthen his case for inclusion across all three international forms.
The 25-year-old has been named in both touring sides, which will play two four-day matches and three one-day games against India A in Puducherry in September and October.
The red-ball and white-ball fixtures provide Murphy and fellow off-spinner Corey Rocchiccioli with a combined platform to press their claims ahead of Australia’s five-Test series against India in January and February of next year.
Murphy’s seven Test outings have all been on foreign soil, commencing with a remarkable debut in Nagpur in 2023, when he took seven wickets in his first outing in the Baggy Green.
