Tammy Beaumont’s Final Test After Illustrious Career

Tammy Beaumont announced her retirement from international cricket following the conclusion of the Test match against the women of India. “The greatest honour has been playing for England for almost 17 years. When I first fell in love with cricket as a young girl, I had no idea that playing for England was an option. It makes me very happy to think about how many boys and girls have been inspired, especially this summer, and how far the game has come in our nation,” Tammy Beaumont, cited by ECB, said.

In addition to her remarkable consistency throughout variants, Tammy Beaumont is one of just two England women and six England players overall to score an international century in each of the game’s three versions. At the 2023 Women’s Ashes, she had her best Test innings, scoring an incredible 208 at Trent Bridge to become the first female England player to reach a Test double-century.
