Javed Miandad Gets Emotional Defending Imran Khan

Javed Miandad has publicly backed Imran Khan, praising the imprisoned former Pakistani prime leader as an honest man despite their convoluted decades-long past.

Miandad spoke emotionally about Khan’s character and current situation, reminiscing on their shared experience. Khan is in Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, facing over 180 cases across Pakistan as of February 2026, following his re-arrest on August 5, 2023, in connection with the Toshakhana case, which involves the misuse of state gifts.

Pakistan had reached a critical situation of 24 for 2 before Miandad and Khan formed an important combination.

During Khan’s captivity, health difficulties arose, including considerable vision loss in one eye due to a delay in medical care in early 2026.
