Brydon Carse Added Amid India ODI Series
The Selectors of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have included Brydon Carse in the squad of England for the current three-match ODI series against India. The official announcement was made during the series opener, which is presently being played at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Tuesday, July 14.
Carse returns to the pitch following his recovery from wrist and forearm injuries that he sustained prior to the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. He was disqualified from the tournament after Sunrisers Hyderabad replaced him with Dilshan Madushanka.
This year, the 30-year-old has not participated in white-ball cricket for England. In November 2025, he played his final ODI match at the Sky Stadium in Wellington, where he faced off against New Zealand.
Brydon Carse has participated in 30 One-Day Internationals for England, accumulating 34 wickets at an average of 40.44 and an economy rate of 6.34.
He recently completed five years of playing ODI cricket for England. Nevertheless, his continued injury issues have prevented him from playing on a consistent basis for the Three Lions.
