Although the T20I squad is anticipated to closely resemble India’s Asian Games contingent, the selectors are faced with a number of decisions to make when settling on the ODI squad.
Nevertheless, Wednesday’s meeting may serve as Agarkar’s final assignment as chairman of the selection committee. Reports indicate that a one-year extension is not probable at this time, as his current contract expires on October 4.
The situation has reportedly changed in recent weeks, and Ajit Agarkar was previously anticipated to remain in the role until the 2027 ODI World Cup.
