“Thank you, Assistant Coach Ryan ten Doeschate and Fielding Coach T Dilip, for your invaluable contributions to #TeamIndia. Why did T Dilip and Ryan Ten Deoschate end their relationship with Team India?

Devajit Saikia told PTI that Ryan ten Doeschate and T Dilip were fired but did not resign from their roles. Saikia noted that the two coaches’ contracts expired, and the board did not renew them.

“Assistant Ryan ten Doeschate’s two-year contract with the Indian men’s team ended on June 10. Fielding coach T Dilip, who was given a one-year extension, also had his contract end on June 8. They continued till the end of India’s tour of the United Kingdom. However, the BCCI is not giving them any extension,” Devajit Saikia told PTI.

“There is no question of accepting resignation as the contract has ended. We are currently in talks with two to three names and expect to finalise the details within a day or two. India will have a new fielding coach for the tour of Sri Lanka,” he said.

Ryan ten Doeschate, the Netherlands legend, has already decided on his next duty. The former India fielding coach has joined KKR’s coaching staff for IPL 2027.

Notably, ten Doeschate represented KKR from 2011 to 2015. The former right-handed batsman also worked as KKR’s fielding coach from 2022 to 2024 before being recommended by Gautam Gambhir for the India position.

Rohit Sharma thanks T Dilip for his services.

While ten Doeschate is certain about his future, T Dilip is yet to decide on his next step. T Dilip joined the Indian team when Rahul Dravid was appointed head coach in 2021. Dilip gained to prominence for his medal idea for the 2023 ODI World Cup. Dilip’s term was up until 2025, but he was given a year-long extension that concluded on June 8.

Rohit Sharma recently appreciated Dilip for his services. Rohit remarked, “You are a legend, Dilip garu. You created magic within the group and were a behind-the-scenes workhorse. Best wishes ahead.” T Dilip is yet to announce his next task.
