Sooryavanshi Emotional After England Dominates India Series
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who had started his international career with a string of low scores, was withdrawn from the Rose Bowl game on Saturday, July 11, and was seen sobbing following the match. A video of the 15-year-old losing emotional control went viral as England trounced India 4-0.
Sooryavanshi made his T20I debut in the second match of the most recent series in Manchester, although he left after just 14. He scored 13 runs in Nottingham and 15 in Bristol, his third Twenty20 international encounter. Sanju Samson, a seasoned activist, joined the team after he was benched.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi did not represent India in the series’ fifth and final Twenty20 International against England.
As players shook hands and headed back to the dressing room at the end of the fifth Twenty20 International, Sooryavanshi was spotted sobbing hysterically on his chair in the dugout. The teenage sensation was reportedly crying as he was benched, according to online speculations, however some have also claimed that he was heartbroken by the Indian team’s crushing loss.

Regarding Sooryavanshi’s exclusion, Indian captain Shreyas Iyer clarified that Samson was brought back because the team required a right-handed hitter to complement Abhishek Sharma because the top seven players in India are far too left-handed. Samson, who has won games for India in the past, was given another opportunity, Iyer explained.
“We had to experiment with the ideal combination that would work best under these circumstances. In addition, we wanted Abhishek to have a right-hander. That was one of the main causes, then. As you can see, I was the only left-hander who was also a right-hander. We wanted to test a different mix that would work for this specific game, as I previously stated. Samson is also a gun batsman. Iyer stated at the news conference following the game, “He has won so many series for us in the past.”
