Shreyas Iyer Support Reel Deleted After Backlash
Shresta Iyer, the younger sister of India T20I captain Shreyas Iyer, has been embroiled in several scandals lately. In order to express her undying support for her brother, who was just appointed captain of the T20I team and is currently the deputy captain in ODIs, she has already been on talk programs and podcasts. Shresta reportedly removed her like from an Instagram post endorsing her brother.
The social media post went viral after Shreyas Iyer’ amazing 80-run knock against England in the fourth Twenty20 International of the current series.
The caption for the picture read, “Shreyas Iyer is playing with 10 snakes,” suggesting that the team’s other players are to blame for India’s losses in the five-match series against England.
According to widely circulated claims on the internet, Shresta loved the reel, but as soon as it became contentious, she deleted her like from the post. Online commenters have also accused Shresta, a talented dancer and choreographer with around five lakh Instagram followers, of exploiting this as one of her incredibly cheap stunts to make fun of the other Indian team members.
