MS Dhoni Watches India Play at Trent Bridge
On Tuesday, July 7, former captain MS Dhoni was seen watching the third Twenty20 International between England and India from the hospitality box at Trent Bridge in Nottingham. It was a special occasion because the former captain was celebrating his 45th birthday on the day of the game.
MS Dhoni was seen having fun with the game in a casual setup in a video posted by Star Sports. Unfortunately, on the wicketkeeper-batter’s big day, India lost terribly by 125 runs.
Below is a video of MS Dhoni watching the Twenty20 International between India and England:
MS Dhoni hardly goes to a cricket match when he isn’t playing. The well-known captain was sidelined for the entire 2026 Indian Premier League season due to an injury while playing for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Despite being a team member, he did not attend any of the CSK games until the most recent home game, therefore his participation at Trent Bridge was an uncommon exception.
At the age of 45, it is realistic to assume that Dhoni is nearing the end of his long and extraordinary career. However, he has not officially announced his retirement from the sport and continues to play for the Chennai-based squad.
India, on the other hand, suffered their fourth consecutive defeat during their T20I tour of Europe. After losing 2-0 against Ireland, the Men in Blue now have two losses in the five-time series. Shreyas Iyer’s side has to win both of its remaining games in order to draw the series.
