Priyansh Arya Breaks Silence on Punjab Kings’ IPL 2026 Failure

During a media appearance, Punjab Kings left-handed opening batsman Priyansh Arya spoke about the team’s downturn. In terms of personal culpability for the collapse, Arya rejected the notion that any single player was to blame for the team’s problems.

Priyansh Arya also praised the coaching climate under Punjab Kings’ head coach Ricky Ponting, who has managed the squad for two seasons. The batter underlined the coaching staff’s independence and assistance throughout a challenging period.

“He grants us complete freedom. He instructed us to express ourselves on the pitch. He encourages us to work hard as well. So far, everything has gone well, and there are no constraints. “He has given us the freedom to do whatever we want,” Arya remarked.

Priyansh Arya individual IPL 2025 campaign was spectacular, with 475 runs and a strike rate of around 180 in 17 games. At the IPL 2025 auction, the Punjab Kings paid INR 3.8 crore for him.
